Responsible business practices

As a company operating across the agriculture, food, energy, and building materials sectors, DLG Group recognises its responsibility to conduct business in a responsible manner. Corporate responsibility considerations are integrated into relevant business activities and processes across the organisation.

We support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and are committed to the UN Global Compact's ten principles for responsible business conduct. We work to incorporate these principles into our operations across areas including human rights, labour rights, environmental matters, and anti-corruption.

Supporting local engagement

Social engagement is an important part of our community activities. We support a range of regional initiatives and organisations through sponsorships, donations, fundraising activities, and local partnerships. These activities include support for hospices, programmes for children and young people, and educational and safety-related initiatives. Through collaboration with local organisations and communities, we seek to contribute where we can and support activities that are relevant to the areas in which we operate.

Human rights

At DLG Group, we respect internationally recognised human rights as described in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are committed to conducting our activities in a manner that supports respect for human rights, including protection against discrimination, forced labour, child labour, and other forms of exploitation.

As a signatory to the UN Global Compact, we support the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We expect our suppliers and business partners to adhere to relevant principles and requirements, which are reflected in our Code of Conduct. We work to promote awareness and implementation of these principles across our organisation and in our relationships with suppliers and business partners.

FUNDAMENTAL

Labour rights

Across DLG Group, we respect the fundamental rights at work as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO). This includes respect for freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining, and protection against forced labour, child labour, and discrimination.

As part of our work with corporate sustainability reporting and business conduct, these topics are considered in relevant assessments and processes. We work to support safe working conditions, a healthy working environment, and equal opportunities for employees, regardless of gender, background, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.

We support employees' right to organise and engage in collective bargaining. We also work with trade unions and employee representatives and promote dialogue and collaboration across the organisation.
